Long-distance move from Raleigh, NC to Bloomingdale, NJ

Move from NC to NJ.

This was a complicated move. I was paying for it from SC but not at any of the addresses for pick up or delivery. Alex and Renay were very helpful. With a couple small hiccups, everything was delivered properly. Alex is good & made everything work. The table and chairs are where they are supposed to be. Thank you.

Long-distance move from Livermore, CA to Bozeman, MT

Moving out of California

I can’t say enough good things about coast to coast Van lines and their affiliates. They ended up contracting with 24/7 logistics out of Sacramento. I ended up booking an entire 26 foot truck. It took six hours for the crew to meticulously wrap and protect all of our furniture and play the most amazing game of Tetris I’ve ever seen to fit it all in the truck. And then took them about a day and a half to arrive at her new location. From there it only took two hours for two men to unload the truck. This is the best moving service out there.

Long-distance move from Stanwood, WA to Elgin, TX

Worst experience of my life!!!

NEVER use this company EVER! We were charged 12000, it took the 21 days to get our items delivered to us. We had to call probably over 20 times, to get a day or arrival which we were never given, and just told new lies every time. The movers that delivered our items were the most unprofessional people I have ever come in contact with. They complained to us over and over about how hot it was and that our furniture was so big. Every large piece of furniture was damaged!! Two items including washer and dryer were never delivered. They left trash all over our lawn, including water we had provided for them. They left two large couches outside because they said they would not fit with the legs on but then never removed the legs. We had to get neighbors help us move the items the next day and they fit in with the legs still on!! They clearly did not care AT ALL about doing a decent job.

BE AWARE, because the company will not explain this to you. coast 2 coast van lines is only the company that contracts with vendors who then move your items. We had to pay money to coast 2 coast van lines, The vendor that picked up our items and the vendor the delivered, by the time it was all done. Because they contract with different companies, your items will get loaded and unloaded at least three times before it even gets to you and it will be put in with other peoples things so they will most likely lose some of your items.

Every time we have called the company they just make excuses and refuse to help in any way. We are filling a claim, but I highly doubt we will every get retribution for all the damage caused to our things.

I cant explain to you how traumatizing this whole experience has been, such a great way to start a move to a new state.

It has been 25 days since our mainly broken items were delivered. We reached out to coast2coast van lines as that is what the vendor coast2coastvan lines contracted with, century north LLC told us to do. We spoke to Coast2coast four days after delivery, as that is the first time they took our calls and they told us they would work on getting some retribution to us. We still have heard nothing. We have called them several times, every time they say we are working with the vendor, and we will call back. Then we were told to file a claim, and submit documentation which we have done several times, and they continue to say we have not received it. No attempt outside of one phone call which took place over three weeks ago, where tom said he would work on getting some money to us for all our broken items, has been made. There has been no retribution received, please never use this company, they are full of lies, spare yourself the heartache.

Callie,
We are sorry your move with United Relocation left you unsatisfied. We have sent you their information to file a claim with them directly. As you posted, we are not a moving company and have never claimed to be one, we are a broker. The issues that transpired during your relocation need to be resolved directly with the carrier. I resent you their contact and claim information again just incase.

Unprofessional and Fraudulent

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is the absolute WORST moving company I've ever experienced. Coast 2 Coast Van Lines were to deliver my furniture July 23, 2021. The delivery contractors were completely unprofessional and immature. They left my mattress outside on the ground for hours, even though I asked them to take it in the house. They threw someone else's boxspring on the ground, on my flowers. They mishandled boxes that clearly were marked "glass" or "fragile", resulting in tons of broken glass. They didn't put the boxes in the rooms where they were supposed to go. They damaged my new construction walls. They broke my expensive glass nightstand and dresser. They broke several other items. I had numerous items missing. And they went throughout my property recording, without my permission. I contacted the company and they stopped answering my call. A woman name [NAME EDIT] called the next day and advised me to send her pictures of all the damage. I did exactly as I was told and sent her pictures of everything. It's been over a month and I haven't been reimbursed. I've contacted [NAME EDIT] several times, to no avail. This company is unprofessional, disrespectful and doesn't care about your property. Avoid Cost2Coast Van Lines at all costs!

Asha, we are sorry to hear about the issues with your relocation. As you know though, coast2coast van lines did not perform your actual move as we are a broker, not a carrier.. Calstate Van Lines was the carrier in charge of your move. If you incurred damages, you need to file a claim with Calstate directly. I reached out and got you their claims processing information and will email it over to you now.

Professional and Affordable

These guys were amazing! They were available with short notice (2 weeks) and made light work of our move! They all wore masks, had uniforms on, were polite and very professional. It took about 6 hours to get everything out of our house and onto the truck, even with us following them around cleaning the carpets after they cleared each room. Moving during the pandemic proved to be a massive pain in the butt, but if we had to do it again I wouldnt hesitate using them!

Long-distance move from Stanwood, WA to Palm Bay, FL

Completely dissatisfied

Contracted with coast 2 coast to move me from Stanwood WA to Palm Bay Florida. They contracted LA transport to pack and ship. First when the arrived 6 hours late the crew didn’t know they were packing my house. At midnight they finally finished. I paid $1500 to expedite drop off in 7-9 days, again LA transport said only after I called them 7 days later to get a drop off time that my household had not even left WA yet. Now no one will call me back and they said I would have my stuff within 21 days. I am fuming mad and will continue to flood their e mails and website with pictures of our contract. Oh BTW salesman was [NAME EDIT] and manager was [NAME EDIT]. Will never do business with this company again. Also trying to charge almost double of what they quoted. We will see what judge [NAME EDIT] has to say about that

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $22000

Official company response

Ms Chupa,
We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your move with LA transfer. As you know, we are not the company who actually moved you. We are a broker, we provided you with an estimate which LA transfer adopted as their own. 21 business days is the legal amount of time a mover has to deliver your goods before compensation is owed. From what LA transfer has told us, they would be delivering you on the lower end of your delivery window. However, upon finding out you planned to dispute all payments made after delivery (after you pocket dialed us while telling somebody your plan to do so) we had to let the carrier know what you were planning to do which I'm sure caused some strife between you and them. Again, WE did not arrive late to your move, WE did not tell you anything about your delivery window as we are not the carrier moving your items. As far as nobody taking your calls, we have taken everyone of your phone calls despite you constantly berating our customer service staff. You have all the contact information for LA transfer as well. Everything post moving day is between you and them, we have no say or part in the relocation. A brokers role is simply to provide an estimate. Once again, you need to reach out to your mover to discuss your grievances with them directly.

Long-distance move from Erie, CO to Olympia, WA

Terrible experience with their carriers - scam alert!

We had a number of problems with H&M Relocation (a choice sub-contractor for Coast 2 Coast) during the first leg (pack/load up) of our move from Colorado. We continued to have problems with ASAP Van Lines (another sub-contractor) for the delivery and unpacking leg in Washington. Since our contract was with the broker, Coast 2 Coast, I hold them ultimately responsible for the loss of several valuable items and careless handling of our move. At the end of the whole nightmare, Coast 2 Coast indicated (and provided supporting evidence) that H&M would refund us an erroneous fuel surcharge in addition to compensating us for their subcontractor’s unreasonable shuttling demands and exorbitant, borderline extortion level charges at delivery. After this communication, Coast 2 Coast ignored all additional attempts to contact them to help us recover this refund with H&M. All attempts to contact H&M have also gone without response. A Coast 2 Coast employee claimed to be close personal friends with the owner of H&M; I can only assume the two companies are bedfellows in this scam of a broker/contractor arrangement. In total, our moving expenses were more than double what was quoted, and promises of refunds were simply tactics to get us to pay the outrageous charges. It would have been more cost-effective to sell all our 5-bedroom-home belongings and purchase new items than to pay what we paid with Coast 2 Coast and endure the headache of this lingering debacle.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $19000

Official company response

Jen, we are well aware of your ongoing issue with HM relocation and the delivery driver they used to handle the last portion of your move. First things first, nobody here is "close personal friends with the owner of HM". We tried to assist you as much as possible when you started having issues with the move, which you told us was at the delivery side of things. I know HM had added fuel surcharge by accident, but they ended up waiving it after realizing it wasnt apart of the original estimate. For the shuttle portion, we helped come up with a MUCH less expensive option to get your furniture up the road that the driver did not feel comfortable taking his tractor trailer up, which you agreed to. YOU decided to go through with the shuttle at the last minute. HM agreeing to compensate you for some of the shuttle fee is strictly between you and HM. We have given you all of the contact information for HM so you could talk to them directly, despite your threats of slandering us online when you know we had absolutely nothing to do with your pick up or delivery, and have been nothing but as helpful as possible. Any promises of compensation from HM needs to be handled between you and HM directly. Any issues regarding HM or their delivery crew ASAP should be worked out between you and them. Calling us a scam company when you 100% know we have taken every single phone call of yours and helped as much as possible is ridiculous, specially when YOU decided to go through with the shuttle on delivery in the first place. You know we terminated HM as a vendor, yet you still complain on our review board like we were the ones who were there on pick up and delivery. Ridiculous.

Terrible estimates vs real charges experience

I have been originally estimated to have an $8,490.00 move with all the property items listed. I throw away 1 sofa and a couple of extra items that were present on the itemized list before the move day, so I would definitely fit the authorized cubic feet. To my surprise, packers did not make it in the authorized cubic feet limit(not even close) and AFTER packing all of my household goods they told me that now I own C2C 12,225.06. The move is still in progress, but I already talked to the managers, still waiting for their conclusion of whose fault it is. But so far it is ridiculous that I have been charged $3700 (43% extra from the originally agreed price)

After talking to several companies, I chose to work with the crew who had I trusted the most. Thru the entire process I had been updated constantly, which is all I wanted. Price was just right. Not to low like those fake companies and not to high either. My 4 bedroom house was packed fully and loaded carefully. Thanks so much everyone
